 During last week I have made many changes on my website. First of all I have change the home page completely and now, instead off  sliding down page I have three different photos an titles on my home page. I choose the template but I did not want to leave photos from the template or this upload from the internet, so I have created my own pictures in procreate.  I have created this face design and I wanted to be a free hand drawing. I choose oil paint brush to define the texture of painting. However on the website I have change it as a multiple photo because I wanted create the wallpaper effect.  My homepage looks quite bold and empty but I did it in purpose. On my portfolio website there is plenty pictures to look at. I choose brown colors inspired by this year season and coffee which Is my favorite drink. In procreate I used layers to make sure that the next picture would be exactly on the same place as the previous one.            ...

 During the session I was learning  how to create my own logo for the website. The tutor introduced Adobe Spark and I started creating logo In the first step I put some basic informations to the form such as what kind of bussines is going to be and my name.   Next I had a few styles to choose. I decided to choose the "bold" one as it would be perfect for my website. After that I had many simple black icons related to my bussines and progression route. My favourite was a paintbrush with a line.   In the next step, I had a few options again to choose . This time my name was included to the logo.          In the last step I made a few changes in colour and font. Once I was happy with results I saved my project as transparent png. The tratsparentcy looked perfect on my website.  For the second page in my book I decided to draw sunset and all the characters swimming in the sea. This is my first simple sketch to the illustration. I created new layer and I drew my characters in black outlines with basic Unlited Brush I kept my previous picture open on the left side of the screen. I used it as a referral image to check the colours or how I drew the main characters as they supposed to look same. I always remember to add new layers whenewer I color in something. To color the water I used water set paintbrushes, however the water look like a snow. Luckily I painted on separate layer and I easly fixed my mistake. This time I choose water paint and it works much better. I amost finished painting and I was ready to add text, when I realized that it should be page nr 3 regarding to the story.  For my major project I am drawing pictures to the story " Magic of the amulet" written by my friend's 9 years old daughter.    The main characters are Addy - the little girl who dreams about her own family and her friends  - Patrick the crab and Olivia the dolphin. This is my very first sketch on procreate to the story and a small plan ,where I tried to figure out how many pages I will draw.  When I planed everything, I started drawing on procreate. I knew that, the first page will be very colorful and is important to draw Addy's legs because later on she will magicaly became  a mermaid. I also write the text to know how many room I need to left on the pictre. I created a new layer and I drew a black outlines on my previous sketch. When I was happy with the results I started coloring my picture which is my favourite part. Every time I remembered to create a new layer for each object, which is very helpful in case of mistake.  For my major project I will use Procreate which is a graphics editor app for digital drawing and painting Procreate app logo I started using Procreate during lockdown. At the beginning I followed simple tutorials on You Tube , then i found amazing person called Bardot Brush.  Lisa Bardot lives in Australia with her husband and three children, however every Friday she delivered a live tutorials were I was able draw with her and learn new techniques on Procreate. I really enjoyed that and the fact that we had a group on Facebook where we shared our drawings after every live. That was interesting experience because people commented their work and we supported each other. Lisa Bardot is an illustrator and she also makes digital brushes for Procreate. Research class exercise 1. Name something you have research in the past for art, media or design Two weeks ago, I did a research about the American artist Abigail Goldman regarding to my diorama project. 2. Explain how you researched this.  First I heard Abigail Goldman name during the 2D and 3D classes, and I remembered her by her outstanding dioramas. I started the research by typing her name into a Google, hoping that she will have her own website. Luckily there was her website and also very interesting documentary movie on the You Tube channel. 3.What facts did you discover? During my research I discovered how interesting person she is and how her life influence on her art. Her dioramas are very dark and basically she is creating little murder scenes. To do not "judge book by it's cover" is a perfect sentence what we can say about the artists work. Abigail Goldman is really lovely person, interesting in death and all the aspects of murder.  In my project I will draw illustrations to a short story for children, therefore this research will help me to find information and answer to the big question: " What's make the great children book illustration? "  There is many factors what I need to consider before I will start drawing: - the age group.  - type an style of illustrations suitable for this age group - the book style - how many illustration I will include in my page. - what to avoid in the illustrations for children To decide in what style I will draw the pictures is also very important. Is that will be more cartoony or scary or is the pictures are relevant to the story. For example soft and gentle illustrations would not be perfect for a story about monsters. Go to the library an look at the real children's book is a good place to find the inspirations.  Is important to decide how many illustrations will be included in the book and what type of illustrations they are.
