Eco Academy mock-up
It was my first attempt at doing mock-ups. I am glad that I learned how to do it because that would change my digital art projects and I could work much quicker. Using a photoshop is much more complicated than procreate, however I am enjoying that.
First I followed some online tutorials of " How to mock up in photoshop", however much more helpful was when Jurian explained to me everything step by step. There is a lots of think to remember and it is difficult for me for now, all the layers and tools hidden in photoshop but I am getting there.
This time I chose water bottle a PE bag to mock up and basically I focused on the layers and smart object. If the picture is converted to a smart object, we can do mock ups by changing colors or pictures , even the light and shadows.
This ID mock up I did in procreate. I covered the picture with a rectangle shape and I filled the shape with the light color. The same which I used to make Eco Academy leaflet.
I was so focused on my work, that I completely forgot took some screenshots. The picture of the girl I cut out from that picture where the girl is presenting school logo on the uniform. Her name is a popular Ukrainian name and her surname is a mix of words Kyiv (capital of Ukraine) and polish surname. When I was working on the project, there was only one thing in my head - the War. Is difficult for me to do anything and stay focused , that is why I am adding Ukrainian theme to my work
The mug is my very first mock up done in photoshop and I am happy with the results. The picture is sharp and in a good quality, school logo is in the right place and bright colours. Perfect!
Big advantage of using photoshop to mock up product is fact that all the shadows and light stays on the picture. Moreover the logo doesn't look flat, it adjust to the mug shape, which is fantastic!
The ideas regarding using the names and relating them to the current conflict could become part of your project - what if some elements of your package were aimed at fundraising for the people of Ukraine, for example?
ReplyDeleteThere is increasingly a case to be made for parts of your project being aimed at students and staff - mugs/tote bags for staff or visitors for instance.
