Life Drawing Exercise Day2
Today was my favourite life drawing session because I had much more time to draw and focus more on the composition and details. Today I chose charcoal and chalk again and I used all the drawing techniques from yesterday, I started with crushing piece of charcoal and draw shades with my finger. First pose was challenging, especially the legs and shortcuts. I tried to see them as two shapes and focus on shading, however I made a mistake by drawing to small feet. Luckily Sam stopped me on time and I was able to fix it. I realise that , looking from the distance more often will be really helpful, because is easier to notice mistakes.
Second pose was easier, however Sam saved my drawing again. I drew to short torso at the beginning, and the lady on my picture looked weird which I didn't notice. And again, looking from the distance helped me to notice mistake.

Another privilege using charcoal is ability to fixing mistakes easily with a rubber dough. Thanks to this life drawing session, charcoal became my favourite medium. I would love to try paint next time but I think I am not brave enough.
These are amongst the best drawings you have made on this course over the year, it would be good to see better photographs of them and to hear more about how this is helping your development and confidence as an artist.
