Romi - Tattoo Artist, Presentation

Presentation that I created is based on my primary research and interview with Romana Kundracikova, Slovakian tattoo artist. Presentation includes over 30 slides and a short video as I wanted to show her incredible talent and tattoo skills. I group her tattoo work in themes: portraits, sculptures, animals and botanical tattoos because that give a better view on her skills and techniques. Interesting part of the presentation were also photos from Romi's tattoo studio and a short video of her tattooing.
I received nice feedback from colleagues, however I know that the presentation wasn't smooth and clear as I wanted. Public speaking is stressful and presenting via Teams was even more difficult. I couldn't see any reactions on the pictures and everyone were so quiet which gives me that weird "talking to myself" feeling. My other mistake is using informal language, I realised that , however is difficult to control it because of the stress.
In conclusion  I enjoyed creating the presentation and whole process of the primary research. I wanted to show and tell as much as I could about Romi. I am also aware of my mistakes and I would try to avoid them in future.

  1. Good, mostly positive and constructive feedback from your fellow students. Would you say this was a worthwhile task? After all this is the kind of thing that you will have to do regularly at University, both individually and as a group. I understand what you meant about 'talking to yourself' delivering a lecture online does feel like that.
