Punk's not Dead tattoos ideas
First tattoo idea was inspired by Sailor Jerry tattoos of the pin up girls. I drew a punk girl holding the symbol of anarchy. Her clothes and hairstyle is inspired by punk subculture, however at the same time she is still sexy and strong.
Next I tried to draw a punk girl, I knew that she would have a lots of piercing, funny hair style and spiky collar on her neck, however her face expression was the most important and the most difficult to drew. I tried to drew her as a rebellious young girl with face expression saying "whatever" or show how bored she is. I even tried to draw her with a cigarette in her mouth but then I thought that would be a little bit too much. I chose a comic style because is simple and clear and perfect for the tattoo style back in 1970's when no one tattooed realistic portraits yet.
Adding the text to tattoo was also common on Sailor Jerrys designs. For my tattoo I chose "never mind the bollocks" .The text is written in the same font as it's on the Sex Pistols album from the 1977. This is a strong symbol and connection to the punk subculture.

I used procreate to drew the final outcome, because is easier for me to draw on it and to fix mistakes. Moreover the design is clear and I could save the design in jpg or in pdf, depends on how I would like to use the picture later. Good quality is needed in printing large sizes or in printing stickers when the jpg format I would use when posting on the website gallery.
I designed a head tattoo which I drew on the Punk girl head. The design is simple, delicate and symmetrical as I didn't want to design something aggressive. Her hairstyle and piercing are good enough to express her subculture and rebellious character.
After the comments from Sam, I have replaced the text "never mind the bollocks" with the word "whatever" which also suits the girl's face and attitude. The copyright and the intellectual property is something what designer should consider at every time as the consequences of using someone else image or work without permission might be very bad.
Having the Punk tattoos usually came with the Punk outfit, lifestyle and attitude. Is not enough to have a picture of a punk penguin tattooed on the arm to became a punk, it is more about the lifestyle and what we believe and identify with.

These are interesting, although I am not sure about the copyright issues that might surround using the title of the Pistols album. Would like to see hand drawn and digital versions of these to show how your ideas have developed and also some process images showing how you created these ideas.
